Lots to report from TSE central. The live band has been coming together nicely in recent weeks, and we’re eager to play some upcoming shows. First off will be a FREE outdoor gig in Carrboro, NC @ Fifth Season Gardening on Saturday, May 9th. It’s the store’s third anniversary, and my good friends, Richard & Ashley Quinn, the owners, are throwing a party to celebrate. The public is invited and there will be plenty of free munchies, beverages of various persuasions, and best of all, some great live music. Max Indian and Sundowners are also on the bill and well worth checking out, too! TSE will take the stage at 3pm, but get there early for the start of the festivities at 2pm.

Next up will be a date at Tir Na Nog in Raleigh for its Local Band Local Beer series. That’s June 4th (Thursday). Showtime is around 10pm, with our friends Regina Hexaphone kicking things off.

As Gary, FJ, and Chris have learned the material off the album (not to mention some cool covers!), they’ve also been great about indulging me during rehearsals as I try out new material. It’s been fantastic to have such a great band to bounce ideas off of and develop arrangements with on the fly. Very spontaneous and very rewarding so far. I’ll be eager to record some of the new tracks before summer’s end. Stay tuned for teaser demos here in the near future…
