I was inspired after a long weekend of playing live music and, tonight, watching the Darjeeling Limited, to come downstairs here and pick up the trusty acoustic. I immediately tuned it to open G and started playing spontaneously. In less than an hour, I had three separate short pieces that sounded distinctly like music for a film. I tracked these rough ideas into Garage Band and will come back to them to see where they take me. Click below for a brief sample.
I’m feeling a creative burst within me, waiting to escape. Although the debut album isn’t even out officially (more on that soon, I promise!), I’m already hearing songs in my head for the next record. Time to finish setting up that dang blame recording studio of mine and get to work…
